Homeswapper has announced that it now has 100,000 live members, making it the UK’s largest mutual exchange service, enabling tenants in social housing to easily swap houses or flats with other tenants across the country.
John Carthew, managing director, HomeSwapper, said, “Our ethos of making a difference in people’s lives underpins our day-to-day business. Having signed up over 450 landlords to partner HomeSwapper, it is pleasing to know that half of all social housing tenants in the UK can access the service for free. In fact, more than 80 per cent our current members are using the service for free thanks to their partnering landlord.”
According to research by Ipsos Mori, more than 10,500 families have moved to new social housing properties in the past year through Homeswapper, and more than 10 million property searches completed on the site in the past two years.
