Port of Leith Housing Association has just begun a project to replace its housing management system with an integrated system from Aareon. The £200,000 implementation is expected to be completed during autumn 2010 and will comprise Aareon’s QL Housing, Financials and Personnel systems, including contact management, asset management and development modules.
Port of Leith started a review of its previous systems in 2009 with the intention of streamlining its business processes and giving staff better access to up-to-date information on properties and tenants. The implementation of the Aareon system is taking place as Port of Leith begins plans to build 500 new properties over the next five years and spend £9 million in modernising its existing 2,100 properties in line with the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.
The new Aareon system is expected to give Port of Leith a much clearer and more detailed view of its assets, customers and finances. The contact management and CRM tools will together provide front-line staff with a 360-degree view of each customer, including arrears, outstanding repairs, complaints and other interactions, using real-time information. QL Reporting Services will be used to provide management information, available as a web-based service, through a range of reports aggregating data from multiple sources.
