An £80 million regeneration programme at Wansbeck Homes will be supported by advanced mobile-working technology from Consilium Technologies.
Wansbeck Homes, a newly-formed housing association managing 5500 homes, is upgrading its housing stock with double glazing, new kitchens and bathrooms. Providing mobile working facilities for the maintenance team will allow the improvements to be carried out more efficiently.
The Windows-based TotalMobile application from Consilium is expected to allow Wansbeck Homes’ maintenance staff to exchange and complete job information on the move, saving them travelling time. TotalMobile replaces a paper-based system and will cut down on back-office processing of work orders, timesheets and material requests.
TotalMobile will be integrated with Wansbeck Homes’ existing Consilium systems, which manage the call centre and repair appointments scheduling, and is being trialled in a pilot scheme during the first phase of the regeneration programme.
Andrea White, business unit manager, Wansbeck Homes, said, ” Our relationship with Consilium has resulted in a smooth progression into mobile working, which will help us manage the pilot phase more effectively, so a swift full roll-out can be achieved.”
