Northgate Public Services has reported that its three-year contract to transform Hammersmith & Fulham Council’s housing programme has delivered savings of £5.7 million during the contract’s lifetime and the on-time delivery of the council’s Decent Homes programme. Northgate has since been re-appointed to continue the programme for another three years until 2014.
Northgate was originally appointed to support Hammersmith & Fulham’s internal team who lacked the experience of tackling a transformation project of this size and scale. Northgate’s work focused on transforming housing services for the 16,000 tenants and leaseholders in areas such as caretaking, repairs, HR, leaseholder services and housing management.
Prior to working with Northgate Public Services, Hammersmith & Fulham had only achieved a one-star rating from the Audit Commission. This has now risen to two stars following improvements in customer services.
