Glasgow Housing Association has launched a new mobile website for tenants to use via their smartphones, claiming that it’s the first of its kind in Scotland. The new service lets tenants report repairs and instances of anti-social behaviour, search for properties through GHA’s choice-based letting system and access the latest GHA news. The service is available for Android, Blackberry and iPhone devices.
One of GHA’s tenants said, “Everybody’s into technology these days so I think this new mobile website will be used a lot. The layout is clear and it will definitely make it easier for people to get in touch. It’s a really good idea.”
Fanchea Kelly, executive director of housing and support services, Glasgow Housing Association, said, “Almost half of GHA households who use the internet do so through their mobile phones and we want our services to reflect that.
“We want tenants to access our services 24/7, and this new service makes it quicker and easier for tenants to get in touch wherever and whenever they want.”
