Halton Housing Trust has launched a smartphone app that lets customers provide details of necessary repairs, report anti-social behaviour, and check their tenancy details and repairs history. The app also links to the Allpay app which means that customers can pay their rent using their smartphone.
Halton Housing’s app is available for all Android phones and can be downloaded free from Google Play. The app took three months to develop using Halton Housing’s in-house IT team.
Neil Higham, director of ICT, Halton Housing Trust, said, “We want to improve the app’s functionality in the future, but we first wanted our residents to use it and give us their feedback. We can then prioritise the development of the functionality that they want to see.
“One of the main things we wanted our app to do was to integrate with our back-office systems and not simply report repairs. This allows our residents to access information that will be useful to them wherever they are.”
