Repairs and maintenance service provider Morrison has signed a contract with Ryzex for a new semi-rugged mobile device management solution, in partnership with 1st Touch and Motorola.
The new contract will see Ryzex provide Morrison’s front-line staff with 1,200 Motorola ES400 handsets running 1st Touch’s mobile working software, and is expected to reduce Morrison’s mobile device replacement rate by around 20 per cent. The contract also includes a next-day exchange policy for damaged devices to minimise its operatives’ downtime and extend the life of each device to at least three years.
Andrew Nolan, director of IT, Morrison, said, “Mobile devices are critical to our business, keeping our operatives productive when they are on the road and capturing valuable data to help us drive decision making on our contracts. The Ryzex, 1st Touch and Motorola system will enable us to reduce mobile device replacement costs, increase the efficiency of our operatives and ensure our mobile technology is supported at all times.”
