CHS Group is implementing a new housing management system from Aareon, with the selection of QL Housing carried out via the Government Procurement Service (previously Buying Solutions). The decision to implement a new housing management system followed the rebranding in 2011 of Cambridge Housing Society as CHS Group which now includes CHS People, CHS Homes and Cambridge and County Developments.
A key component of the QL Housing implementation will be QL CRM which will give the housing provider a 360-degree view of each customer, including tenancy information, arrears, outstanding repairs and current complaints as well as a history of all previous contacts between the tenant and CHS.
CHS is also implementing QL TaskCentre for the automation of key processes and automated SMS and email communications. The Aareon system is supported by a mobile working system from 1st Touch.
Gary Lashko, community services director, CHS Group, said, “We are very excited about the opportunities that introducing QL Housing will offer in order to improve our services, provide better value for customers and improve our performance management. This is a very important investment for us and we intend to make it a driver for significant change.”
The CHS implementation began in January 2012 and is expected to be operational by the end of this year. The procurement was carried out via the Government Procurement Service’s framework agreement for social housing software applications (RM865/7) which Aareon was awarded last year.
