Home Group is about to start a pilot project of a purchase-to-pay system from EGS which it hopes will save around £7 million over the next eight years. Once operational, the EGS system will be used by up to 1,000 Home Group staff.
The new system, which comprises the full suite of EGS’s services, is intended to automate Home Group’s procurement and invoice processing activities, replacing the housing provider’s existing mixture of manual and electronic processes.
Richard Beattie, executive director for shared business services, Home Group, said, “The EGS system is straightforward and intuitive to use, and will be welcomed by up to 1,000 Home Group workers across the UK, bringing efficiencies to their day-to-day work.”
