Shoreline Housing Partnership has just completed the implementation of a new intranet-based mapping system from Dotted Eyes.
The RMX4 system gives Shoreline’s customer service team better visibility of its assets and allows them to work more efficiently. The web-based, open-source system has also significantly reduced the cost of multiple desktop licences.
Shoreline reported that the system is already improving the efficiency of its customer service team and reducing costs, citing the example of a tenant complaining about fly tipping; the service team can now easily see on a map if the incident occurred on Shoreline’s land, enabling them to deal with it more effectively and save unnecessary removal costs.
Andrew Eayres, performance manager, Shoreline Housing Partnership, said, “What’s great about RMX4 is that you don’t need to be highly skilled to use it, making it accessible to staff across the whole company. We now have instant visibility over our properties and the data related to them on a map.
“Like most organisations, we’ve had to tighten our proverbial belt. As a result, we need to work more efficiently and RMX4 is helping us to do so by enabling us to target our resources better for maximum impact.”
Looking ahead, Shoreline plans to use RMX4 to plot more detailed information about its properties, allowing it to identify problem areas, such as locations with a higher density of rent arrears.
