With 70-80 per cent of information security breaches now originating from companies’ internal staff, outsourcing specialist MET and Dtex Systems have teamed up to deliver a new SystemSkan-based service to housing providers.
SystemSkan automatically screens all user activity on a company’s network and can be configured to prevent and alert on inappropriate activities in real time. The system also lets senior management monitor, restrict and control the activities of individuals and group, thereby enforcing corporate security policies across the company.
Ian Vickers, managing director, MET, said, “Housing providers have become increasingly aware that their large volumes of tenant data are a prime target for fraudsters and online criminals. The easiest way to get to this data is via unsuspecting or disgruntled employees, with a single internal security breach possibly resulting in significant damage.”
