Thrive Homes has completely outsourced all of its IT services to Sovereign Business Integration, with a 15-month contract beginning in December 2010 pending the open procurement of a longer-term contract starting in April 2012. Sovereign reported that existing IT team members from Thrive were transferred with full communication and collaboration under TUPE.
Philip Day, resources director, Thrive Homes, said, “IT capability should not dictate or inhibit what we set out to achieve and Sovereign Business Integration currently provides us with: IT service-desk support for staff; server, infrastructure and network management; systems administration on business applications; and project management for the delivery of key IT and business improvement projects.
“Sovereign’s fully-outsourced services and support come with well-tracked, transparent costs. We have a robust SLA in place, regular performance reviews and, in effect, we can trial an outsourced IT service for just over a year before we make any long-term commitments.”
