Following the introduction of Xmbrace’s Opti-Time dynamic scheduling system for mobile workers, Brent Housing Partnership predicts that it is on track to achieve annual savings of almost £1.5 million for its repairs service.
The Opti-Time system allows BHP to allocate appointments to its repairs operatives one job at a time, ensuring that they are working with real-time information and are up-to-date with any changes, enabling them to work more efficiently. The Opti-Time system also matches operatives with appropriate skills for the job, thus preventing the need for unnecessary visits.
BHP is expecting more improvements over the next three months and is forecasting savings of £28,125 per week, or £1.46 million annually.
Umesh Natalia, head of responsive repairs, Brent Housing Partnership, said, “We are very pleased with the improvements that have been made so far. There are still a number of challenges but we are working on these by carrying out ongoing reviews and monitoring the service.”
