Magna Housing Group is using Sovereign Business Integration to deliver advice and a proactive improvement programme for its responsive repairs system covering Magna’s 8,000+ properties. This follows Sovereign’s 2010 project which reviewed Magna’s income management processes.
David Block, group head of IT, Magna Housing Group, said, “Late last year Sovereign reviewed our computerised income management processes – debt recovery systems if you like, and proposed a plan to update and improve the use of our existing Capita housing management system.
“This first project was not undertaken due to any specific problems; we were simply looking for an external company to take an independent view of the good and bad of what we were doing.”
Sovereign has now been chosen to review Magna’s complex repairs and maintenance system which is based on four different products, comprising Capita’s housing, contractor and mobile repairs systems and Xmbrace’s Opti-Time dynamic scheduling system.
Block added, “We have engaged Sovereign once again to ensure that we are making best use of those systems, identifying areas where we can improve our processes and relying on Sovereign to offer advice and alternative ways to approach these in order to improve overall efficiency. However, this project is much more challenging than the last due to the complexity of the disparate systems and the scope of its significance.”
