1st Touch has formed a partnership with OpenSpan, a provider of user process management software, in order to make integration easier between back-office applications and mobile services.
As the catalyst for the partnership, 1st Touch said housing providers often face significant integration fees from their back-office system vendor or are tied in to unacceptable proprietary systems, in both cases limiting their ability to lower operational costs through mobile technology.
By identifying underlying application objects and using the latest visual programming techniques, OpenSpan overcomes these problems by capturing data directly from multiple back-office systems for use in 1st Touch mobile solutions. This eliminates any constraints on integration and enables users to replicate, build and administer PDA-based applications easily.
Robert Dent, CEO of 1st Touch, said, “OpenSpan’s integration abilities let users realise the full RoI benefits of existing back-office investments much faster. This is because they can now by-pass the silo-like limitations of bespoke integrations or having their choice of mobile solution dictated to them. As OpenSpan tears down the walls between applications, social housing providers can now move forward.”
