In a bid to free up staff at housing providers and local councils from dealing with basic payments and run-of-the-mill information requests, Allpay and Wincor Nixdorf have jointly developed a range of self-service payment and information kiosks.
These kiosks will make transactions such as rent and council tax payments easier and more efficient to process. Rather than queuing to deal with contact centre staff, customers will have the option of using a convenient self-service kiosk to find information and make payments.
Sean Cunliffe, customer access and strategy manager, London Borough of Merton, said, “Initial reaction to the card payment and information kiosk from our staff and customers was very positive – it was even commented that payments could be processed through the kiosk much faster than had they been taken over the cash office counter, making life easier for everyone.”
Tony Killeen, managing director, Allpay, added, “We are thrilled to join forces with Wincor Nixdorf to bring a new range of self-service payment kiosks to the public sector market. This partnership offers our clients an automated payment option for their customers, adding to our comprehensive bill payment collection service.”
