A start-up geographic information system, which uses free Ordnance Survey digital mapping data, has been launched by GGP Systems. The GGP Housing package includes licences for GGP’s geographic information system alongside a complete installation, training and support programme.
Tim Maxwell, managing director, GGP Systems, said, “Geographically-referenced data is an essential resource for the provision and management of social housing, and the introduction of Ordnance Survey’s OpenData programme has overcome the main financial barrier faced by housing providers.”
The implementation of GGP Housing includes its integration with housing providers’ existing systems, including housing, asset and financial management systems and grounds maintenance programmes.
