Two years after its launch, 1st Touch’s mobile workforce software is now being used to support the management of over 600,000 properties across the UK. Based on government figures of a nationwide total of four million properties, Southampton-based 1st Touch is claiming a 15 per cent share of the mobile working market in social housing.
1st Touch’s applications for housing include responsive repairs, voids, gas and electric safety, estate management, supporting people and clean streets, with additional modules to be releases soon.
The company claims that its supplier-neutral approach is unique as 1st Touch customers are not tied to a particular back-office system, making it easier for them to integrate with existing housing, asset, finance and contractor management systems using 1st Touch’s own integration tools.
The software company’s housing customers include Vale of Aylesbury Housing Trust, Powys Council, Coast and Country, and maintenance provider Morrison.
1st Touch has also just confirmed the appointment of Robert Dent as its CEO. Dent joins 1st Touch from governance, risk and compliance software company Achiever Business Solutions, a Sword Group company. As CEO and a shareholder of Achiever, Dent had been responsible for the company’s sale to Sword in 2006. Separately, Dent had also arranged the initial financial backing for 1st Touch back in November 2007.
