The eighth annual InMotion event took place at the end of April at the Motor Heritage Centre in Warwickshire, organised by Kirona (who acquired Xmbrace in 2012).
The guests were treated to headline presentations from CIH president Paul Tennant, who addressed the challenges facing the housing sector, followed by Humphrey Walters, a well-known motivational speaker among the business and sporting communities, who shared his experience on why “being the best matters”, and rounded off by Ian Rumsam, head of repairs for Together Housing Group, who gave his perspective on “don’t think of cost, think of value”.
David Todd, director, Kirona, said, “InMotion is a hive of ideas and initiatives to help housing providers do more with less. Technology is a great enabler and the opportunity to meet the key players under one roof and hear from those that have tried new things is invaluable.
“The hosted round table discussions allowed delegates to dive right into topics that are hot for them and learn from peers. Themes ranged from mobile working and self-service to KPIs and best of breed systems which resulted in lively discussions enjoyed by all.”
The event closed with the announcement of that Kirona’s Project of the Year award 2014 winner, was Trident Social Investment Group with its ‘digital by design’ project on digital inclusion.
