AmicusHorizon has equipped 150 inspection surveyors and housing officers with mobile workforce software from 1st Touch. The deployment covers pre- and post-inspections, stock condition surveyors, estate management, the tenancy services department, gas and electric inspectors and its CASA Supporting People operation.
AmicusHorizon said that 1st Touch’s focus on developments around Windows Embedded Handheld and the less-established Google Android operating system was a factor in its decision to choose 1st Touch, as well the software’s existing integration with its Orchard housing management system.
Jeanette Alfano, director of technology, AmicusHorizon, said, “1st Touch offered a wide range of tested modules ideal for giving us a push up into mobile. We were impressed by the interface with its customers through the user group. This seemed to work very well, especially in the way 1st Touch has an eye on future developments.”
