More than 50 mobile workers across Bolsover District Council’s responsive repairs, gas and electrical services and voids management teams will be using mobile working technology from 1st Touch once the new system is live in the next six months.
Bolsover DC, which manages 5400 properties, cited 1st Touch’s smooth integration with its existing Capita Academy housing management system and with Xmbrace’s Opti-Time dynamic scheduling system as one of the key factors in its procurement decision.
Keith Bowman, cabinet member for housing, Bolsover District Council, said, “We conducted a robust tender process that looked at a number of areas where the benefits of mobile technology would improve the delivery of services and raise productivity levels.
“1st Touch came out on top after we actively sought the opinions of other organisations where the system was employed. One of the other advantages was the availability of additional modules to cover different service areas such as voids and gas. This gave us the consistency of data and management control that we were looking for.”
