South Tyneside Homes has signed a five-year contract with BT South Tyneside, itself a partnership between BT and South Tyneside Council, for a new IT infrastructure for desktops, customer service, procurement, finance and HR, all to be delivered as a managed service.
Isobel Riley, chief executive, South Tyneside Homes, said, “Our investment in these fully-managed desktops will mean more efficient working and ensure that our staff have the latest information at their fingertips when dealing with our customers and partners.”
BT South Tyneside will also provide laptops and self-service technology to let staff check their own pay, access other information online, as well as helping with day-to-day administration.
