The Northern Housing Consortium has added telecare and telehealth providers CarelineUK, Cirrus and Tunstall Healthcare as suppliers to its national ‘assisted living’ framework.
Nicola Hewell, procurement and contracts manager, National Housing Consortium, said, “Assistive technologies are vital in allowing people to live with dignity, security and independence. Our assisted living framework allows our members to design solutions and establish flexible contracts for care services supported by assistive technologies that are based on their particular requirements.”
The NHC framework covers areas such as personal alarm monitoring, out-of-hours emergency call handling, fire-safety systems and security, and telehealth monitoring of chronic conditions.
Chris Claydon-Butler, general manager for assisted living, Tunstall Healthcare, said, “Organisations always want provide more services with fewer resources – telehealth is a way of delivering enhanced services cost effectively and improving the user experience.”
Andy Davey, managing director of both Cirrus and CarelineUK, said, “This is an important agreement for the social housing sector. With both companies selected as framework partners, we can offer NHC members a comprehensive suite of services.”
