Catalyst Housing Group has embraced the software-as-a-service model with the adoption of Saaspoint’s real-estate management system.
Catalyst Housing Group matches people who would otherwise find it hard to get on the property ladder with suitable affordable housing. With over 400 staff and 14,000 homes across London and the South East, Catalyst Housing Group was finding it difficult to maintain one central database of available houses.
Olivier Ward, business support manager, Catalyst Housing Group, said, “We needed to have one central, up-to-date list of our available houses. We also wanted to be able to keep records of individuals who have been successfully matched with properties. We were already using the enterprise edition of Salesforce.com but this did not have a dedicated area for property management.”
Catalyst had worked with Saaspoint before when it implemented Salesforce.com’s on-demand CRM services, having come across Saaspoint’s PropertyPoint real-estate management application on AppExchange. PropertyPoint lets users track both customer interactions and property availability in a single system. Installed into existing Salesforce.com applications, PropertyPoint’s search capabilities provide real-time matching of properties with tenants’ and residents’ requirements. It also matches new properties to existing tenants when the new property details are added to the database.
Ward said, “PropertyPoint is very easy to use and was customised to our needs. We can now store and track property in one place. A unique search feature means that we always have up-to-the-minute results and can match people with suitable houses that are still available. We now have 15 regular users of PropertyPoint; I was given a tutorial and then I was able to train the rest of the staff .”
