In an example of looking at IT beyond housing organisations’ internal processes, Testway Housing has helped more than 200 of its residents improve their IT skills.
For the past year, Testway has been running free EverybodyOnline drop-in sessions at one of its estates, helping residents of all ages to either learn to use computers and the internet for the first time or to improve existing skills. Testway has also been running a weekly online homework club for local children.
Testway’s EverybodyOnline project is part of a digital inclusion programme from the Citizens Online charity which is supported by BT.
