Norfolk-based Freebridge Community Housing is about to deploy an integrated document and process management system from Documotive. The organisation-wide implementation is expected to be live by December 2010.
Freebridge is starting the project in its finance department and is deploying Documotive’s e.Procurement and Invoice approval system to streamline the process of purchasing goods and approving invoices.
Dave Clements, assistant director of ICT & facilities, Freebridge Community Housing, said, “The new ‘POP’ and ‘PIP’ system will introduce robust controls and provide visibility while enhancing our productivity. In addition, we have identified where we can remove paper from the purchasing process which will again contribute to more efficient and greener working practices.”
The implementation of the Documotive system is expected to significantly reduce the volume of paper documents needing to be stored; Freebridge has already identified the office space that will be freed up by the removal of 16 redundant document cabinets.
Clements added, “We want to improve the efficiency of the delivery of information to the customer services team by providing easier and quicker access to a customer’s documents. Not only will documents be immediately available to users when they need them, they will also be available to multiple users at the same time thus reducing the need for duplication.”
