Capita Software Services has won a five-year contract worth around £300,000 with Welsh housing provider Grŵp Gwalia to consolidate its housing operations onto a single central system.
Gwalia, which manages 9,000 properties covering affordable and student housing across Wales, will use an integrated system comprising Capita’s OpenHousing and OpenMobile platforms. This will allow front- and back-office staff to access information relating to their day-to-day roles faster and more easily and ensure customers receive the most relevant services possible.
OpenHousing will support Gwalia’s housing management and property development including maintenance and asset management, and OpenMobile will allow information held centrally to be accessed remotely.
Stuart Davies, executive director of property development and management, Grŵp Gwalia, said, “This will simplify our internal processes and let us provide more cohesive and responsive services. Having detailed stock information available to both staff and external contractors on site will create a better experience for customers and allow us to work more productively. The wide range of modules and integration offered by OpenHousing and the ability to deliver it on the Microsoft SQL Server platform fulfils our IT and service strategies.”
