Notting Hill Housing Trust has chosen Advanced 365 to deliver a private cloud managed IT service for four years with the option of extending it for a further two years. The contract is reported to be worth around £7.4 million, with the final phase of the outsourced IT service scheduled for completion by the end of March 2012.
NHHT currently uses in-house resources to run and support its IT systems but these are thought to be insufficient to accommodate the housing provider’s plan to increase its housing base by 40 per cent over the next few years.
Martin Carpenter, head of central services, Notting Hill Housing Trust, said, “Advanced 365’s outsourced IT service will support our growth aspirations and deliver a range of benefits, from flexible anytime and anywhere IT access for staff through to improved service for tenants. We also expect annual cost savings up to 20 per cent compared with delivering this in-house.”
The contract includes the provision of a range of new managed and hosted applications including Microsoft email, instant messaging for both staff and customers, a new CRM system and Microsoft’s SharePoint collaboration tool.
Advanced 365 is contracted to deliver 99.5 per cent service availability as well as disaster recovery capability through the use of two data centres. As part of the contract, NHHT’s IT infrastructure team has been transferred to Advanced 365.
