Octavia Software Solutions has announced the implementation its OSKA care and support software at Derby Homes and Midland Heart, with the latter including the provision of digital pen technology.
At Derby Homes, Octavia has developed an offline version of OSKA in order to allow Derby Homes’ staff to still access client records in areas of limited or non-existent network coverage. Each support worker can download a number of client records to their laptop or tablet device, update the records while with the client without the need for any mobile/internet access, and then upload the updated records back to the server at the end of the day.
A spokesperson for Derby Homes said, “Our staff can now be confident that they will have instant and remote access to all information relating to the people they are visiting each day, eliminating printing processes and reducing the many hours spent on administrative tasks. Productivity should increase, enabling the number of visits per day to increase.
“OSKA enables us to mobilise teams which have traditionally been very paper-based. With the newly-developed offline capability, staff can complete assessments wherever and whenever they need to, regardless of network coverage.”
Octavia’s digital pens at Midland Heart
At Midland Heart, Octavia is rolling out the OSKA system to 1,000 staff, combined with an innovative data capture technology using digital pens. As part of the overall solution, Midland Heart will use digital pens to improve the flow of data from mobile support workers into the OSKA system.
