Further to our story on Orchard Information Systems’ ‘finance headache’ survey (see May 2011 issue), the company also polled delegates at the CIH 2011 housing conference on their biggest ‘housing headaches’. A live SMS-based survey found that delivering value for money remains the current hot topic, with 35 per cent of respondents citing it as their biggest housing headache,
The survey, which was conducted live on Orchard’s stand at the CIH event using its Communicator system, also found that people were unable to interpret customer profile data (18 per cent) and were baffled by resident involvement (14 per cent).
Other areas covered by the survey included ‘unable to measure services provided’ (13 per cent), ‘exasperated by [having an] incomplete picture of property lifecycle management (11 per cent), and ‘overwhelmed by obligations to comply with the green agenda (9 per cent).
