Castle Computer Services has launched QlikView software, an affordable business intelligence system for the housing sector.
QlikView provides super-fast ‘in-memory’ analytical capabilities by dynamically integrating and presenting data from multiple data sources, such as the accounting, housing DLO, HR, payroll and asset management systems, to provide users with a single view of the business.
George Strathie, software and services director, Castle Computer Services, said, “This is the first time that housing organisations have had the opportunity to employ affordable business intelligence and analysis tools that go way beyond the limitations of the spreadsheet. QlikView delivers a level of business intelligence that was previously only affordable to large enterprises in a fraction of the time it would take to implement a traditional business analysis solution.”
Castle said that QlikView’s real advantage is the way in which it allows users to analyse the data and to continue to query the data, based on the answers they receive, without having to write new reports.
QlikView uses a simple, user-friendly dashboard interface and never restricts the user in the pursuit of information that might be hidden in operational system data. Unlike many traditional business intelligence tools, reports are not pre-determined so users are free to ask the questions they want.
