Scottish Borders-based Eildon Housing Association has replaced its spreadsheets with Shelton Development Services’ Sequel tool for the appraisal and management of its housing developments.
Sequel helps Eildon’s planning team with project management and day-to-day cashflow controls as well as providing full reporting and management information from housing and asset management systems.
Mark Walton, project leader, Eildon Housing Association, said, “The system is currently being used for cashflow management and workflow. We want to expand this to the other functions, and in particular linking the property management section straight into our housing management system.
“The system went live during April 2011, as per our implementation programme. It has now been agreed that Sequel will be used to manage all projects relating to new build development, modernisation and planned maintenance.”
New version of financial viability software from SDS
SDS has also just launched a new version of its ProVal risk appraisal and financial viability software. The new ProVal LS supports an unlimited number of property types and can include mixed tenures in the same appraisal. The system also handles long-term cashflows (up to 100 years) and both net present value (NPV) and internal rate of return (IRR) valuations.
