Capita Housing is collaborating with Deeplake and Keystone Asset Management Solutions (KAM) to extend its existing systems in the areas of SMS communication and asset management respectively.
Deeplake’s SMS software is being launched as the Capita Housing-branded Communication Manager (CMGR), providing cutting-edge and cost-saving methods of communicating with tenants. CMGR enables the tenant and housing organisation to engage more closely; asking a tenant for their input to a survey or to take part in a community project is more likely to have a positive response when done through the CMGR system.
KAM was chosen to maximise the choice housing associations, RSLs and councils have when deciding on the most appropriate asset management system for their organisation. The main part of the KAM system is an online portal, enabling collaborative working between project stakeholders to deliver improved efficiency.
Also recently announced, Stevenage Borough Council is installing new housing benefit, council tax and business rates systems from Capita Software Services.
Expected to be operational by the end of 2009, the new systems will have new features, such as instant access to account information for both citizens and council staff, and provide better management information for decision-making, planning and reporting. The council’s written correspondence with its citizens is also expected to be improved as a result of the new systems.
Capita will deliver its ‘enhanced approach’ to Stevenage Borough Council, which is a full implementation service which includes the provision of project management, business consultancy, training, data-quality checking and the conversion of historical data.
Joan Lloyd, executive member for resources, Stevenage Borough Council, said, “We are always aiming to improve the speed and efficiency of our customer service – we believe that having a modern system with market-leading functionality will help us to achieve that.”
