Mobysoft: Making Sense of Data
Housing providers face an urgent need to modernise and become more efficient – essentially delivering more, better, but for less. Technology is a key enabler of this, and at the forefront of that is artificial intelligence, the foundation of which is data. Mobysoft leverages advanced AI technologies to help enhance tenant services and operational effectiveness. In our presentation, Mobysoft’s CTPO, Chris Fleck, will explore how AI is a pivotal tool for housing providers, addressing issues such as service quality and staff productivity, and explaining the complexities of AI development, such as data quality, model maintenance and technological integration.

Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government: Improving data standards in social housing
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has conducted research into addressing the systemic challenges associated with the absence of common data standards in social housing. This research aims to facilitate interoperability between systems thereby eliminating inefficiencies such as manual work-arounds and reducing failures. By establishing these standards, the goal is to improve tenants’ outcomes. Better data would help in streamlining processes, improving service delivery and ensuring better data-driven activities across the sector.

The Dot Collective: Leapfrog moment: how Places for People unlocked transformational power with data
Data-driven decision making remains at the forefront of every data transformation programme under the sky. Join this session to hear from seasoned practitioners on how obstacles of the past were turned into great opportunities, through a modern approach to building and deploying a data platform. This talk will explore how scalability, integrity and resilience was embedded into a data platform design upfront to unlock value through multiple use cases and customer journeys.
It goes on to demonstrate how a modern data platform can be instrumental in unlocking a far-reaching impact across tens of thousands of tenants enabling a step change in organisation’s operational efficiency, winning the Board support for further initiatives and maturing the organisation’s data culture along the way. Design patterns that ensured the data platform could deliver value at scale for one of the biggest housing providers in the UK will be shared. This talk, presented by The Dot Collective and Places for People, is based on a recent real world case study.

Sovereign Network Group: Data quality – Who cares?
We’ll be looking at Sovereign Network Group’s data quality (DQ) journey, from our initial steps saying that something was wrong, working out what the ‘problem statement’ was and then getting each element fixed (incl. our focus on the 6 Cs of data quality).
Like many other housing providers, SNG is always keen to share our experiences of what our pain points are (once we’ve identified them, of course).
We’ll also cover how every housing provider needs a senior group who are committed to supporting their teams in their quests for data quality across every level of the company. SNG has such a group and it’s been vital in our DQ success story.
Speakers: Robert Kilpatrick, Data Quality Officer, Sovereign Network Group
Robert Kilpatrick started in housing in 1989 and has worked at Sovereign since 2000, first as a housing officer and housing manager, moving into systems training and analysis and now in data quality.
